This is Brooke, not-quite-as-yellow-as-I-would-have-liked Lab puppy, ten weeks old. The Munsterlander is useless and I have really been enjoying training so I have bought a born-half-trained one! 😁She's a bit poorly today so has been in with OH for a work up but seems to be picking up again. She is a fantastically natured pup and already has 3 commands sussed!
.      Seven dogs is fairly normal isn't it??

Well I did once [nightmare] have two litters at the same time [only little Griffs] but one did a stupid and instead of the usual 2 or 3 pupps thiis one produced FIVE.

In my living room in two puppy pens next to where I was sleeping?

My last two dogs have been rescued dogs , and while i would not change any of them , i still would rather have had a pup and enjoy the challenges that go with training your own dog , all the best with your challenge ,     and     P.S. what a cracker .

I would only have a rescue pup now - so they grow up accepting me as a wheelie whereas an older dog might be a wheel  chaser.  And most older dogs only last five days in the pound.  But such is life here.

Years ago when I bred Griffons, and yes I was a registered UK Kennel Club breeder, the pups I have been honoured to have had since I had retired, all knew me as I was.  A wheelie.  Not that I knew Pereg would develop epilepsy, nor that I knew baby Ziva would get thrown out by the person "looking after her" when I had an emergency hospital admittance after she had only been with me for eleven days,  nor that I would end up with just a 3 week old tiddler who was not even weaned.

But sometimes things happen for a reason.

Who knows.
