These are my first Light Sussex chicks from the Fred Camm x Bodgers blood lines.
They look good, 100% fertility, 75% hatch, healthy chicks.
I just wonder if having to keep the parent birds indoors has affected the ultimate viability of the eggs hence the 75% hatch rate ?
They're looking to be really good strong healthy chicks.
I've already got a few of those out but hopefully the next milestone for me, will take place early next week, when I'm hoping to hatch some LS chicks that are 75% my old birds with just the 25% Hamms blood in them. It'll be interesting to see how they turn out and to whether or not they turn out any different or any better.
