Hey Asemery: What do you recommend?

I am tying up a few more snake knot wrist loop lanyards, but I would like to put a sliding "choke" on the wrist loop. Something that is fixed to both sides of the loop and doesn't slide of the end.

I keep thinking of linked side-by-side turks head, or even a running monkey's fist, but there has to be something that easier and quicker to make.

So what do you recommend?

I have tried the turk's head and monkey fist knots as sliding knots but the best method I have found is also the easiest to tie.  The simple Solomon bar.

I have never had one slip off the end of the loop but it IS possible.  I have an idea to prevent the knot from coming off and will post a photo if it succeeds

Another name for the Solomon bar is the cobra hitch.  Here is a link (not my tutorial)   Do it however long you want it - at least 5 knots.  Trim the ends and melt them so they do not come undone.
