Every year our local shoot puts thousands of these foreign interlopers in to the local woods and fields. The French Red Legged Partridge isn't the brightest of creatures and these two, managed to get themselves run over by the car in front of me.
Apart from being very obviously dead, there seems to be very little damage to them, so I'm going to breast them and then this evening, they'll be playing a leading roll on our BBQ.

Isn't it astonishing just how stupid game birds are ?
Drop a jacket over a pheasant and it'll just coorie down.

I feel kind of sorry for the daft things. A short life and mostly a messy end.

If I were you I'd butcher those birds pdq Bodger.
If the bowel's burst inside it'll have tainted everything. Stinks of sh1t, literally.

Yes we put 150 red legs down each season
That's all I do is take the breast off

By the way I saw a single red leg male up for sale on Bird trader for 30

We pay the game farm 3 each

How does the bird stand if it's only got a single red leg, Dave?
