We had our 1st frost of the winter this morning

and as I was filling the birdfeeders with fat balls, niger seed, sunflowers and peanuts I spied the first snowdrops of the year   ........my favourite flower

They will get bigger and better but at least they are there!

Remarkable, Spring has been surprising us in Devon too.
Yesterday we went to Bicton.
Their magnolia tree is stunning.

And they have a fine show of flowering daffs too.

On my walk this morning there are snowdrops and daffodils in flower everywhere but also signs of primroses, red campion and periwinkle flowering - Spring is on the way
