I can't wait to see the new Dads Army film but I fear that it has an awful lot to live up to. All the actors in the old series and its spin off films just seemed so perfect for their rolls.

I saw a clip on Graham Norton and it didn't look as bad as I thought it might.

I've found this on the BBC and it sounds as if they haven't just made a copy of the old and that they have tried to change things a bit,

Don't be disappointed. Avoid it and save your money. Remakes are never as good as the originals.

I watched it last night, and as someone who has watched all nine series loads of times I was ready to be disappointed. I wasn't - I thought it was a cracking film, tons better than the original casts attempt at the big screen.

I think the trick to enjoying   it is to view the cast as playing a character rather than doing an impression of the original cast. It was nice to see Ian Lavender doing a cameo & when you watch it see if you can place the vicar!

Unless we watch it elsewhere, Pwllheli isn't due to show it until the end of next month. That's great news
