The Edith Cavell memorial restoration and improvements outside the Erpingham Gate of the Cathedral close. This is a £50k addition to the already way over budget (circa £3m over budget) improvements to the Tombland area, The trees and shrubs have gone, and especially the large mature Fig tree that always gave a good harvest of ripe figs at this time of year. Some how I very much doubt that the work will be completed before the 100th Anniversary of the Execution of Edith Cavell on the 12th of October.

I am sure that if you listen to Lois, she will tell you that I have plenty of Vices.

Well, here's 3 of them; L-R, Record 52½E quick release carpenters vice, a Record 92½ pipe vice, and a Record 84 quick release fitters vice.

My pocket may be £30 lighter now, but my new bench when I build it will be about 75kg heavier.

Tea mug to provide scale.

Cycle track for wheeling your bicycle either up or down, along side the footpath steps at the rear of the Forum.  Virtually all the public steps in Holland have a channel like this at the side of them. Even steps dating back a century or more usually have a stainless steel channel attached to them. We could do with considerably more in this country.

I keep seeing lamps across the city and cannot help myself, I just have to keep taking photos of them.

This one is above the gates of the Quaker Friends Meeting House on Upper Goat Lane.
2015 a photo a day project, 29/12/2015 — at Upper Goat Lane.

What can I say, I still have a thing about the lamps across the city, and so I ended up taking a couple of snaps of the police lamp with the Norwich coat arms displayed upon it above the front of the Bethel Street Police Station. In my opinion it is a rather splendid lamp, and I particularly like the simplistic but almost over indulgence of the supporting bracket work

2015 a photo a day project, 30/12/2015 — at Bethel Street Police Station.

Well, I have really enjoyed doing " Gareth's 365/15 photo a day" project. I do so hope you have enjoyed looking at them, and seeing what I see.
And so I close this project and this album with a photo I took this afternoon of the Peace Obelisk in Chapelfield Gardens here in Norwich.
So happy New Year to each and every one of you, and " May Peace Prevail On Earth."

2015 a photo a day project, 31/12/2015 — at Chapelfield Gardens.

I really enjoyed doing my 365/15 project, so much so that I have decided to run with it for a second year.

So, if you have a Facebook account and you would like to keep up to date on a daily or an as you please ad-hoc basis please click on the following link to view Gareth's 366/16 Photo a day Project.

Very very eclectic set of pictures, Gareth.
A topical selection of a well thought out and portrayed diary of pictures.
