Up here it's as cheap in many cases to buy new as to buy second hand if you are looking at the cheaper end of the market. Find if you are looking for "designer labels" but if you are looking at the Regatta fleece/gardening jeans end of the market - go buy new.

I saw fleeces at more than the equivalent new ones last week - and as I had dropped them in due to them being too big (celebration) knew that they were more than what I had paid for them (despite them being in very good nick).

So don't expect too many bargains second hand unless you hit very lucky.

Hit and miss round here, some way overpriced stuff in the charity shops but on the flip side I picked up very smart Jagaer suit for 15.
