You are right , I hadn't noticed, it looks like a ghost.

The photos were taken over 58 years ago, but I don't think things will have changed much, it is a fair way from town & the young ones always make for there.

I have just found this post and found it incredible reading. OH's uncle and grandfather went over to Canada about the same time. We inherited a lot of photos from that time recently. It is now that we wish we had known more about that time and their experiences.

I wish I had talked to my dad more. I remember him telling us about the local village butcher, the family was very posh, they attended church every sunday, but the grand dad was a drunk who delivered meat in the pony & trap & after visiting the pub would be carried home safely by the pony.

When we arrived in Montreal we went to a resturant for a meal, as we were eating we became aware people were watching us eating. We realised it was because we were eating properly with knife & fork & they were using their forks as shovels.

I tried to put some wedding photos up but they came up like the previous ones I tried. The photos are all in the album & glued, Gloria won't let me remove them so I tried photographing them but the flash ruined them. I managed to get them in movie mode but unable to place them on this site.

Meanwhile the story continues where we started. I have no more written.

I have been approached to put it on a site for payment.
