Information wanted.  Redtailed hawk are the bain of my flock!!  I need a ferocious watchdog or watch poultry.  I recently read that Peafowl make good hawk protection when adult.  Is this true?  What about a large breed goose?  Pea fowl would roam for miles and the chickens couldn't go with 'em.  I don't have a pool for geese.  Any ideas or thoughts?

I should add that at the present I have them contained in a small run but would like them to free range, within a fenced area that keeps four legged predators out during the day, but low enough that light breeds could fly out.
