What books have you been bought, or have you bought for others this Christmas?

Raising four kids was pretty expensive I can tell you, but one of the many bonuses of having such a large brood is that I've done really well for books this year. I can't wait to get stuck into them.

This years haul includes.

'The World According to Bumble' by David Lloyd ( he's the cricket commentator )

'Wellington's Victories' A Guide to Sharpe's Army 1797-1815 by Matthew Morgan.

'New Life Stories' by David Attenborough.

and one that I'm really looking forward to reading, 'The Old Ways' A Journey on Foot by Robert Macfarlane.

What swag have you managed to garner?

To go with our new puppy we bought ourselves acopy of In defence of Dogs by John Bradshaw.  A fantastic book that can be a real eye opener on places about dog behavouir and how they respond to us and why.  I had dipped into this book before when someone lent me a copy and it completly changed my relationship with Brodie in 3 days.  Now looking forward to reading the puppy sections.
