Super looking birds Stu. What colour eggs are they laying for you? I reckon that my so called Black Marans have a percentage of Langshan in them. They are the same colour but without the stilts.

pinky coloured. These are hybrids really- the two trios I had looked a bit like german langshans, but out of the 20 I bred there was a fair mixture of types, some with feathered legs, some looking like a croad langshan, and some like a modern langshan in type. some bred are a bit more like the german type-so the plan is to breed them together, but at the minute I think it is fair to say they are just big black birds- but out in the field with the sun on them they are an impressive sight. Surprisingly they are really good broodies and mothers
