Great if you have a 10k plus CNC milling machine to use it in ....... it's gonna be a good few years before one of those weighs in at less than 100 and is suitable for use in a bench mounted pillar drill.

Great thing would love one. I think the comment made that they had one in their school workshop might have been for wood and have been around for ever

Square cutting Mortice bits for woodworking have been around for a long time, but the none-industrial ones have a bit of a bad rep.

just browsing through old threads.
Gareth is this idea based on an offset (cam arrangement) 3 sided drill bit ? cant see the relevence of a cnc machine surely any milling machine / good pillar drill would do the same job
