Well the first horse our family owned has passed on, Starlight Express (Star or Starsie to his friends), little sis's first, a 14.2 palomino.  Had a pretty good run though, was already 14 though only just broken a year or so before when we got him 25 years ago and was still playing in the snow like a yearling a few weeks back.
Will try to sort a piccie of the old chap

RIP Starlight Express - he'll be at Rainbow Bridge.  He had a good innings and a good life by the sounds of it

Guess mum was there to lead him over having gone that way a couple of months ago.

39 years is one heck of a long time for a horse to last. You must have looked after him exceedingly well, all credit to you. He will be happily munching in the big field in the sky with all his friends from over the year. God bless him

Claire

Yep, well most of the credit for his well being goes to dad and little sis who looked after him most of the time but we'll all miss him!
