Maggie made a real fuss this morning, far more than usual, I'm sure that it was because she'd missed her basket mate of nine years.

Every time that we took her to the vets and they gave her some steroids/antispasmodics etc we hoped that she had been 'cured' because she bucked up and started to act and eat as normal. Everything only ever lasted a few days and she went downhill again. We pinned our hopes on the 2nd operation but she was poorly again within the week after it. She had lost over a third of her body weight and wasn't a happy little dog - she was wasting away whatever we tried to do so we had to take the final decision

And it was the right decision because they trust us to make it for them.

Still doesn't mean we don't miss our furry friends when we have to let them go over Rainbow Bridge.
