The horses are on their last bit of grass today.
They will be on haylage as of tomorrow. Pushing three or four barrowfuls a day to them in the rain, cold and mud, I can hardly wait.

mine are the epitome of low maintenance.

the fields are doing so well this year and i have got myself organised so hoping to not have to start haylage until mid - end dec and then one large bale in each field (unopened) and when they finish a bale open the gate to the next field  - hoping that way they dont get tooo trashed.

putting rugs on this week when we have a dry day, but they are both very fat so a couple of days of cold wont don them any harm. as i dont ride everyday i dont clip so make concious effort to not ride so long that they get sweaty.

have at last got transport so will be schooling again and getting ready for the sunday clinincs and perhaps couple of dressage comps - hope to say hi to doodle at some point and meet the lovely milly.

stables are all rubber matted and got some bales of hay in for emergency stabling but hope to avoid that this winter.

anything else???? nope thinks that covers it - dont you just hate people like me
