The forum has recently become a private one. This means that people have to become members in order to view it. Not all forums are suitable or to everyone's liking and we accept that some people will choose not to post after joining.
The forum was started by a group of friends in February 2007 and from the very outset has aimed to be both friendly and informative. We hope that new members will like what they see and will decide to become fully participating members and contribute to the forum.
So that we can maintain a realistic membership list we have started to delete new members who have decided not to make their first post within a month of joining. We feel that if members have not posted in their first month, then they have decided that the forum is not for them.
New members are made aware of this by e-mail upon joining. Over the next few months we will also be deleting earlier members who are zero posters. This policy does not prevent members from rejoining at any time.
Thanks to everyone who has helped to make OTG what it is today. _________________

I personally would urge all new members to try and post. If you don't try it, how are you going to know whether you like it ? _________________ A friendly family based countryside forum.
