Bother and blast Ginger.
The elastic band in Marmaduke Farquharson's Stringbag broke after that wizard prang into the ladies toilets outside the Pall Mall, Old Phartovian's Gentlemen's and Officer's (Stripey Tie Compulsary) Club.

OK Bodger and Bazzer, I'm getting the mark of you two now! and have my tongue in cheek quite firmly

Bazzer, Her Majesty's Royal Air Force, is certainly set apart from the rest of the armed forces, we are clearly better than the rest, indeed the "cream of the bunch!" (going back to your supposition on discharge, Bodger).

And no Baz, I am not old enough to be known as a Brycreem either!

But old enough to have a son who is an NCO in the Para's and has earned his first medal in Afghanistan (see below), but a few more medals to go to catch up with his old man!

Well not really.
Do you once young lads remember the school medical checks and the cough and drop test ?

I had a bit of an epiphany recently when visiting an old friend I hadn't seen for years. After a bit of a messy divorce he gained custody of his 2 boys  and soon after contracted MS having to leave the fire service through ill health. He is now remarried, has a lovely daughter and, whilst confined to a wheelchair is still the same bloke I knew all those years ago...

Who did he marry?

The school nurse's daughter..... and I met her at his house recently..

I shrivelled as I spoke with her.. (Not that I was in a state of excitement at the time.. )

Steve

I've got one of those too RB.
13 Air Assult Support Reg. RLC.
Done his bit in a Sandy Place too. The idiot actually enjoyed six weeks at FOB Edinburgh Wanted to do Iraq to get that gong as well and become a Clanger. Home safe with no bits missing or broken and I assume same with yours? We're among the lucky ones.
"P" Company in Sept.
Then two years posting at Windsor. He was at Collie for three years, 45 mins. from home, Windsor's just over the hour so we still have to put up with him at home every ^%%$%^ weekend.

May they all have a safe return home. Too many have made their last trip Lynham.

PS. Instead of the macho US style pose he would have been better off getting that untidy pile of crap behind him sorted.
