It's early for runner beans like but there you go.

I know the feeling well but it's still chilly so my onion sets are in trays under fleece getting their feet down and so are the broad beans. By my standards both are a bit late but the soil hasn't warmed up here yet.

In some ways I'm pleased the weather is poop because I decided last year that I would delay my normal sowing times this season.

100% agree that its a bit early for most things yet up here , but my problem is that if I don't start early , the growing season just shoots up on me and i'm way behind !!! I thank that comes with age !!

Runner Beans always make me realise how time flies. Each year I bemoan the fact that they are coming to nothing and the next time I look, they've gone mad.

There was a light frost this morning - makes me realise that some seeds can wait a few more days.

Hard to believe it is so long ago that I planted my runner beans !!!! I thought they had rotted away  but lo and behold when I looked yesterday they are about 1/2 inch high ,  a few days sun and I should see a difference .

That's good news
I've got my tomato and pepper plants in but I'm still holding off on the cucumbers.
