Our Border terrier Winnie has had a rough time of it over the last year or more.
First of all she was savaged by our daughters Labrador. Do you remember the pictures ?

Then a few months ago for some unknown reason, at her age she decided to swallow some rubber, which had to be removed from mher intestines.

Well ! I've just left her at the vets where she's going to have blood tests and an X- ray. She's not been herself for a few weeks now.

I'll be picking her up at three this afternoon and I have a feeling that the news is not going to be good. Fingers crossed please.

Dogs are as bad as children, you never stop worrying about them.

I hope it's good news from the vet.

What sad news, I do hope news is OK, Winnie has a certain way about her very endearing.

Just phoned the vets and the blood test has come back negative. Liver and kidney function is shown as being normal but it also shows that she is very slightly anaemic.
Winnie has been quite unhappy for the last month or so and not eating very well and has also been a bit hunched up. The x- ray shows that she has an area of spondilosis in the spine.
I'm going to pick her up in a few minutes and return with some medication.
I'm also going to her a magnetic dog collar up from our shop and see if that does her any good.

That's a relief.

A daily NSAID will have running about like a young 'un again.

Good that all the tests came back normal. I know some peeps that swear by those mag collars. Hope it works for Winnie & she has a speedy recovery.
