Wooly Mammoth: Secrets From The Ice

This might be worth a look tonight - they have uncovered a frozen practically intact (hair n all) mammoth.

BBC 2 Wednesday 9pm.

I wondered what was in the bottom of the freezer...

I'll give that I go ... thanks for the heads up.

I have been fascinated by Mammoths since I was about 4 years old.

I watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it ....... but I am un sure if it was just a one off programme or part of a series.  it left one or two questions that are unanswered, and I would really like to know more.

My thoughts too Gareth. I got the impression that the programme was planned and filmed mainly prior to the new discovery and it felt a bit tacked onto the end. Now we need to know how long ago the bones were removed to see which stage of man was responsible. I hope they do a follow up.

I am right at the front of that queue.
