Wood Splitter.

I thought that I'd let you have a look at my new toy. I dropped on this second hand wood splitter yesterday for a hundred pounds. Its splits the logs with 12 tons pressure. We have already cut down some big leylandi here at home and have another twenty trees to get from a friends place. Having seen it in action, it will be ideal and  I know that it will make short work of some very knotty wood. Its a useful addition to my self reliance armoury.

They can be a little slow, but a darn site safer than swinging a maul around (well, it would be for me anyway. I can cut myself sitting on a sofa watching the goggle box)
It's a very good buy at 100.

Hello you two, this is a log splitter, 6.5 meters long, ram 2.3 meters long 30 ton pressure.

Its now standing in one of my barns.

They save alot of back aching work, 100 quid seems cheap enough mate.

What kind of wood is that, Sod.

Radiata pine from local replanted forests. Ofcuts from mill comes as the log ends you can see from a local mill at $10 a tonne plus delivery as on another of my posts.

Most common wood used here for everything from all timber in houses and all other buildings
