Hi, Im after replacing my 16,5 ins wintec GP saddle which is getting very scruffy. Dont really want to buy new so have been lurking on ebay BUT does anyone have any other ideas of sourcing a second hand one? There must be horsey websites I am not aware of! Thanks, love Lizzie

I've got a 16" - would that be too small??

I've had it about 4 years and used it about hmmm.......a dozen times!!  I then bought a Wintec Dressage Saddle as I like to ride with a long leg (being short legged   ) and its been sitting around ever since.....along with a mountain of other stuff.   I really MUST have a sort out as haven't ridden or driven since we moved to Wales nearly 3 years ago - faaaaaaarrrr too busy with my pigs

Let me know and I'll lift it down from the saddle rack its been sitting on for the last 2+ years

Blinkers-you wouldn't have any driving stuff for a large Shetland type would you (10.2hh)?!

Sure thing - I have another one which I bought off a friend who had cut the girth straps so that she could use a normal girth     which is surplus to requirments....although not a Wintec - will go check for you

I have a wintec dressage saddle. leather look (not suede), 17.5, changeable gullet and cair. marks where the stirrups have gone. any use to you then PM me. I have the medium, medium narrow and I think it has the medium wide gullet in it

Finally got around to checking out the saddles and its a Bates Caprilli leather dressage saddle (the one with the chopped off girth straps!!).  Its been around a few years, so not a 'modern' one but still a very nice saddle.

Oh bumps, I've not measured it       I'll go measure it if anyone thinks its of use.   I paid £150 for it but would sell for less than that as its been sitting around for 3 years now collecting dust

interested
what colour is it, also the width across the drings and this is a strange one - the width of the gullet channel from pommel to cantle, perhaps three measurenments (pommel, middle and back)
yes lot to ask but he is awkward to fit. I understand if you are too busy, but thought worth an ask.
cheers

Hi Stir crazy - no problem, will go and get it down off the rack and take some measurements and a photo.  Oh, and its black

OK - here goes!    18" saddle.   14cms measured between the D rings - on the INSIDE.   width of gullet at the back 3.5cms and 5.5cms in the middle.   I've added a pic to show roughly where the middle measurement was taken.

Ask away any other questions.    Have also now put both on the Trading Post section

Cheers
M
