May I ask which country in Europe.
Carnach

Germany.  That dog was born in 2006 and another of my pups went out to the same family last year - he passed his 'blood trail' test in December aged six months.
Border

Well done.

I have GWP's the old lad, unfortunatly no longer with us, had passed his 1000 meter 20 hour blood trail.

I'm working with a GWP at the moment, but he is not a patch on the old dog.

I have just ordered a GWP puppy for the end of March.

Good size pig   nice looking dog. In NZ a lot of pig hunters use dogs for all the work there are "finders" and  "bailer/holders" so they can just go in and stick the pigs without a gun
Carnach

I don't think the pup is up to the standard of your late GWP, Border, not yet anyway.  But the other one is.  The older dog has had broken ribs from encounters with wild boar but it hasn't blunted his enthusiasm - he works in a Kevlar jacket but while that stops punctures, it doesn't stop the impact.  He's primarily a finder, sod, but he gets to grips too I am told.  And he  soft as a brush with their six year old girl.

Conach yes that sounds about right crazy when on pig but totally under girls control.
