White rabbit hunt...

Went back up to grouse camp for three days of chasing the white bunnies.

Grouse camp covered in white.



Sugar barn about a month before boiling...









Fisher tracks...we did see one running through the dark timber on the second day.



Snowshoe fail...

They obviously aren't the same species that our mutual friend Von is cleaning up on at the moment, so what species are they?

Bodger , those are Varying Hare ! they are brown in summer and turn white come winter . For me the cottontail are much better eating .

Our host supplied the beagle dog power for our hunt.

We ran the beagles today as the season is winding down this weekend . A wet miserable day w/ only two bunnies and two partridge to show for our efforts .

I wouldn't say it was that bad of a day with two, late season grouse.

 and we gottem ' w/ our .410 double guns too , me a double and Dumpbear w/ the over / under . But Man ---------soaked to the arse !
