Whitby

Never been there before and DD and I (well, I) drove up on Saturday, doing the Bronte Parsonage on the way. We spent yesterday walking around in Whitby, doing all the sights, a wildlife boat trip (we saw one seal!) and eating the best fish and chips in the world, then drove back today. What a fab weekend!
Here's DD taking her own photos at the Abbey.  The scale of it is just vast!

And the sun came out :

Yes!  But I gave myself a chance and rested a lot  .  Actually, it was worse on the knees coming back down!

love whitby. fish chips and gravy on the pavilion OH's family go to the area every February half term every year. last 2 yrs in sandsend so just a walk up the front to whitby trouble is i cannot go usually as not allowed to take dogs as only 1 dog is allowed in the house so have only personally been whitby once i may go for a day trip this next feb. im sure my litlun would love to run the dogs on the beach with her dad. OH's dad is up that way every other weekend on the north yorks railway as a signalman and think he either drinks in whitby or stays. but whitby is one of my favourite places in uk.
