well it was like this............popped into town to pick up some pikis the girls had had done of there chihuauhuas, while we were there Ellie asked if she could have a hamster
well weve got all the rotostak stuff and a couple of cages so i said she could have one sun was shining everything was going good and she cought me just at the right moment
She chose her hami and named it Perry!! from kevin and perry
we put it in the car and went over to matalan, to look for a rug, for the bottom of the stairs. Got back to the car, and perry was quite happy
went over to focus, left perry there again ,got back to the car after getting a few bits, and he was as happy as a p in sh t
We decided to go over to morrisons whilst we were there to pik up a few bits, so parked up next to a micra exactly the same as ours
went into get few bits then back to the car to come home
AAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!! .perry had done a runner!!
we went thru the lot....then the people with the same car as ours came back to there car, and commented on them being the same,
we told them we'd lost the hammi, so they helped us look for him
by now there were 7 of us in a micra!!! its posible believe me !!
anyway we didnt find perry, so now i have got a little car sat outside with hamster food strewn all over the inside waiting for Ellies little Perry to re-appear

Some how when I saw the word hamster in a post from you Dans I had already guessed the end of the story!!! This would happen to us too! I could tell a few tales (well about 6 to be accurate!) of hamsters but non of them have a very happy ending-so we have given up on them!!
Hope he comes back and doesn't take a fancy to your electrics first!

Nieces then, very young son had one and they got one of those see through exercise balls that you could put on the floor and watch Hammy roll around the lounge. After a while the afore mentioned young lad gave the ball one that Beckham would have been proud of.
Missed the goal but Hammy was saved.

Try a humane mouse trap danns.(the kind that catches them alive - not kills them kindly!) Hamsters are notorious houdinis!

I suppose you have all heard about the carpet fitter who had just finished laying and fancied a smoke. Searching his pockets he couldn't find the fags but spotted a bulge on the carpet so he stamped it flat.
Houseowner asks "have you seen the hamster he has got out ?"

Our son had a hamster in a cage downstairs it escaped climbed upstairs went into the bathroom , it then got through a hole in the pipe boxing in and fell down inside the wall to the kitchen , the wslls are all plasterboard OH heard scratching and made a little hole to ry and find him she stuck her finger through and got bitten for her troubles, she did manage to get the hamster back unscathed

well morrisons tills are still working so its not reached the wireing yet
the trail of food in the car is now looking more like crisps instead of the nice moist food we bought it, no obvious tell tale signs that he got short, the windscreen wipers and lights are still working
And we gotta PERRY 2!!!
safely in his cage in the house were he should be

Don't put his cage near any curtains dans...... we discovered a huge hole in the curtains and smug looking hamster had a very colourful bed!!! He'd spent all night pulling the fabric through the bars of his cage and shredding it.

But what do they actually do?
Too small to fetch the paper.
Don't make a noise when someone's at the door.
Doesn't sing or do tricks.
Hates watching Animal 24/7.
Doesn't rush to greet you when you come in.
Just sits in Stallag Hammy looking all cute and fluffy.
Then after a few weeks the kids get bored with it and it's down to parents to clean, water and feed it, all the while just taking up space with its cage.
May as well let it have a one off appearence with Freddie Starr or see my previous post.
