Blimey ! I'll go and check ours just in case.

We've got Catkins Joe  and its nice to see fresh leaves on the bluebells shoving up.

Over the past few days I've noted the amount of spring bulbs pushing their heads through and catkins at the bottom of the garden.
Even the broad beans are in flower, whether they pollinate or not is the question.

It's strange but some of my Japanese Maple bonsai trees have their buds swelling

John..

We found same here last winter, spring flowers coming out

The lonely snowdrop now has a friend at the other end of the garden.

Daffodil leaves peeping out but if we get a frost that will be the end of them!!
bodger

You would have been a sleep Mrs T, but we did actually have a frost in the early hours. I only know because my mate Pugh said that there was. I was busy  watching the cricket on the TV.

The hedgerows are full of violets in bloom here - no sign of snowdrops yet.

Are there more catkins than normal this year ?
Christine

Definitely more catkins - it's been a riot for the last 10 days round here. I did see a snowdrop today - that's early for round here. For some reason the snowdrops are very shy and don't usually bother till after everyone else has had theirs been and gone.

Just checked back, 23rd  Dec' mentioned catkins....most have now dropped due to the wind and rain, paths and surrounding ground now covered in little fury catapillas

IMO yes there does to seem to be loads more this year..

We have far more catkins than is usual for this time of year.
bodger

I've just noticed that we too now have several clumps of snow drops in flower.
kaz

I separated the snowdrops after they had flowered last year and put loads of bunches under some trees where we can actually see them from the window - they look wonderful
