Will post some pictures when i take some
Border

Women are funny with things like trailers, tractors, or any other gear we NEED, they just don't understand.

You buy it locally or off fleabay
Hawkeye

locally about five miles away, and he delivered it for me
Justme

Nice. I bought one a while back. In much worse condition that I thought. So I have bought the steel (& plasma cutter) to fix it up & now dont have the time to get on it. With luck by spring / summer I will have more time.

not all women are funny about tractors etc border, i have a lovely grey fergie we take the tractors to the local shows and love doing so. i shall be spending the 2nd of jan freezing watching some of our friends at a local ploughing match.

BTW anyone know where i can get a fergie 2 furrow plough and a back box, or a international 2 furrow plough for the OH's baby   [/img]
bodger

Three barrows full of horse poop a day everyday, will soon get it filled. Hopefully, it will be starting its holiday here with us today.

Yes, I know not all women are down on machinery, I live with one that says your tractors are breeding again, and promptly goes out and buys something she might or might not need.

CF can you post some pics of your Fergie not forgetting some of  OH's IH

Don't forget to take some pics of ploughing match, taking pics will keep your mind off the cold.

A 2 furrow fergi plough can be find here.

Hawkeye

i must say John it looks better in the pictures than inthe flesh
bodger

I'll give you a tenner for it. It'll do a good job mate
Hawkeye

cheeky beggar
Woodsmoke

Heh heh heh! It's not how it looks mate, it's how it performs, I always say

I've been promising myself a 10' trailer for the last couple of years. Nothing too heavy-duty, just something I can stick a couple of tons of firewood in, or use to hump vast amounts of hen & ferret muck up to the midden.

Who knows? Maybe I'll be unwrapping a brand-new Ifor Williams on Christmas Day? (2015!!!   )
bodger

The fact that its a tipper is going to save us a hell of a lot of work.
Hawkeye

Bodger did have a worried look on his face when he wheeled the first barrowfull in he thought the floor was a bit dodgy, which it is . The chassis and tipping gear seem to be in good order so hopefully i can rebuild it next year and it will give many years of useful service

Just means you have to drive faster, mate
sod

Hawkeye I thought you were going to say he put the first barrow full on it and realised how many it will take to fill it up   it looks great. But I would be careful loading it too heavy at the front and trying to tow with little Fergy or any small light front tractor.  We have an old J Bedford tipper we are hoping to cut down to make one but wish ours was done and looked like yours
Hawkeye

your right about the weight at the front, will probably fetch it with my DB990 when its full, mind you fresh horse poo does'nt weigh as heavy as well rotted stuff
Gareth

Yeah.... Hawkeye mate,

Judging by Bodgers past performance record, I wouldn't be surprised if you don't end up having to load the trailer your self.
Hawkeye

now now he's not that bad he did unload a smaall trailer load with me last week
sod

Hawkeye which colour DB990 you got I got red one
Hawkeye

its a white one Sod with a front end loader , started it up yesterday after changing the fuel filters, has'nt run for about a month and it sounds a bit rough, misfiring so will have to sort it out hydraulics are not working to well either probably needs a new filter there as well oh and the gears are a bit crunchie so might have to wip the top off the gearbox and see whats going on in there otherwise its a great tractor
Hawkeye

Went to fetch the first load of manure from Bodgers yesterday, just managed to make it home and the tractor stopped. Had a quick look this morning but no joy so hitched up to my faithful Fergie but of course no tipping pipe on it , luckily i had an electic tipping unit in the garage off an old pickup at work so mounted it on the drawbar connected pipe and a battery and hey presto tipped the trailer in no time at all
sod

Great would love to see photo of how you got that tipper to work. I just had brain blast did you just put electric pump into the line   very slow thinking going on here to-day must done to much of it for this year
Hawkeye

keep forgetting to take a picture of the tipping gear Sod, it is a self contained unit with it.s own oil tank i just plonk a battery on the drawbar connect up and because i havnt got round to fitting a switch yet i just cross the wires and up she goes, i dont think i,ll bother taking it off just extend the cables and use some large croccodile clips to connect to the tractor battery .

As for my poorly DB990 it,s now in my garage  in pieces so ican sort it out i got a workshop manual recently so i know what i,m doing at last
sod

Thanks for that Hawkeye seems a good idea to have it on trailer like that so can be used on anything   will have to look into doing that with one too. Sorry to hear about your DB990 what went wrong? We have red one that has stearing problems and an 850 with blown head gasket so our manuals are getting work out at the moment

my grey fergi as you can seel it is straight from the farm

Hawkeye

chicken feed
