tools and things

i often receive a screwfix catalogue through the post having bought stuff off them in the past. Recently though i have been buying things online from a firm called 'Toolstation' not because they are any cheaper but because you dont have to spend 40 to qualify for free postage only 10. Tonight ive just spent 23 on a few bits and bobs i needed and they will be here before the end of the week

I consider myself to be rather fortunate on that score, as I have here in Norwich the following trade counters: Screwfix, Toolstation, Machinemart and Monks & Crane, with Sealey just a few miles down the road.

Just off Heigham Street:

Toolstation Norwich
4-5 Marriot Close,
City Trading Estate,
Norwich,
NR2 4UX.
Seabird

Toolstation, according to my son, who is in the trade, was started by the sons of the guy who owned Screwfix, when Screwfix sold out to the Kingfisher group.

While we're on the subject of tools, does anyone have anything to say about Festool, particularly the domino jointer? OH keeps talking himself into buying one - then talking himself out of it again     Anyone here use one?

Ah Seabird mystery solved! We couldnt work out why the  toolstation catalogue was SO similar to Screwfix one. Thanks, Lizzie
Stanley

Found this on our local market, three months old 30!
18 volt rechargable from flat in 1 hour.

Great on the plot, especially good at trading for veg!
