Tomato Plants ?

Tomato  plants tomorrow ?

Ten o'clock and the garden centre opens tomorrow morning and we'll be there waiting to stock up on tomato plants to go into the poly tunnel. Which varieties  do you swear by and which one's don't you rate ?
One of our family favourites, is the 'Sun Gold'  cherry tomato.

Sun Gold, Gardeners Delight, Alicanti. All do well for me

We grow about 8 different ones. Sun gold and Black Russian are my 2 favourites. We grow a hanging yellow cherry plum that has clusters of up to 50 fruits on, can't remember it's name though. I keep my own seed from year to year and loose track of the names!

I usually stick with Moneymaker & Alicante for my main tomato crop and I sow Golden Sunrise for some yellows.

I usually sow a variety of others, depending what takes my fancy at the time.

Gosh my comment on FB must have worked, look at all of the posts just come on! Coincidence I assume

Back home  from the garden centre with seven tomato plants and two sweet peepers.
Two Sungold, two Ailsa Craig, a Golden Crown, an Alicante and a Red Profusion. That's puts me up to ten tomato plants in total. That should be plenty enough.

Tigerella was the hit last year (first year) followed by Fandango (red and prolific) with Green Envy (grape sized and green when ripe) also popular.

Reading with interest as it's been a while since I've grown any.

But I'm up and running with my little greenhouse now so will be buying my plants in the next week or so

I do not think our neighbours like us.  This is the result of this mornings "fireworks" chucked over the fence.
