Tiger Nuts - anyone growing them?

Started off some this year, they are now in the polytunnel and seem to be doing OK (it's hard to know as I don't know what they are supposed to look like). I'll post a pic later.
Anyone else grown/growing them?

Border

Yes. Rock hard, very chewy but then a pleasant coconut taste. I started mine from some organic ones I bought.

Here's a pic of how they are today (over 2ft high):

From the trains, we saw fields and fields of tiger nuts being cultivated on the plains of Karnataka in India, and in Goa they were cultivated on alternative terraces where rice was being grown on slopes.
