The Morfa Nefyn Orchard Facebook Page ?

I'm not particularly savvy when it comes to anything to do with computers and even less so when it comes to facebook. I've been thinking that it might be a good idea to create a page or group for our apple juice and cider and to also  incorporate our pig, chicken and ducks too.
So first of all, how do I create one and even more importantly, how do I get it noticed and get other people to want to keep on dropping in on to see what's going on? I am a complete novice.

While on the subject of facebook, I've only been on it for a few weeks and falteringly, I've joined a number of groups but to show you just how much of a novice I am, I realize that a couple of them are not for me and I don't know how to get rid of them. What do I do?

To leave a group - go to the group page at the top on the right hand side there is a box 'get notifications create group' next to that a wheel type symbol -hover over it at the bottom of the drop down box  click on leave group

On the left of your home page is there a column Pages and to the right the word more?

If so click on more and a page should come up with a create page box.

Once you've created a page you can invite friends to 'like', ask people to share and tell forum members about it.

I find it awkward to 'invite' people it seems rude so I just hope word gets around.

To keep peoples interest photos are popular, a few facts and information too. Being chatty and personal helps but I find that difficult too ( honest ) and so keep it mostly factual.

I find it very useful and a great way of communicating with my customers.

I've just had a message through saying "sorry husband forgot to pay for the eggs , wil pop money in box later"

I also have had a steep learning curve with FB, but have to say its been worth it.  I have a personal page and a business page and have seen a marked increase in business.
Get a teenager to assist you, but remember the old marketing tip - do a little but do it well, rtaher than a lot and badly.
I try and put something on my business page at lease every 2nd day.  It keeps people looking and whilst its not always relevent( like the video Ive shared re the Cornish), its either a bit of fun or interesting in some way.
Doing the hard sell all the time is boring.
Im starting to bank photos and articles to use when I have a dull day and have no ideas....

....and to really get you going did you know that google plus is the google equivalent to FB and if you do 'google plus regularly you will raise your website's profile on google (ie bring it up further in the rankings)?

And reciprocal linking on websites also means raising your website on google.  (We will have to do this)

You'll be spending so much time on marketing that your arse will need a cushion at the computer!
