Ten years ago today

Its ten years ago today since Beatle George Harrison died at the age of 58. Where just have the last ten years gone to?

Aged about eight, I remember  being at junior school and the whole school assembly being told by the headmaster that the music of the Beatles would never last and that they'd soon be forgotten. You got that wrong Mr Ogden Sir.

My headmaster, Mr Brown, said exactly the same about the Beatles.  Worse.. he said that there would be no books by 1980 and that we would have computers for reading. Got his timing a bit wrong there.

George Harrison died just a few days after my Dad so I didn't take much notice at the time, but as you say, the time has gone so quickly.
sod

It does seem to have gone quick but every week seems to just be here n gone now

whatcamefirst in the 60s we thought that by 2000 we would be like the "Jetsons" and no one would have to work   no we are still here and work is harder to get but needed
