Submersible pumps

We are looking to buy a suitable submersible pump, so that we can move water from the umpteen water butts that we have around our holding. Any suggestions as to type and where to source them would be much appreciated.
Gareth

I bought mine from toolstation, and if you purchase anything over 10 from them they offer a free 48 hour delivery. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/d40/sd3220

Machinemart also have an extensive range of water pumps:http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/categories/search/pumping

But before you order off the net, nip round to your local Lidls, as they had submersible water pumps designed specifically for water butts and barrels two weeks ago on offer at 29.99. If your store is like ours, they often reduce the price of unsold specials stock a week or two after the original offer period.

Bodger mate,

Are two lengths of lay flat 32mm water pump hose any good to you?

It was originally a 10 metre length, but it is now a 6 metre and a 4 metre length.

The pipe that we have for around the holding is a 13mm one and we have a bigger distance than that to shift the water around but thanks for the offer.

as we do not have electricity or water laid on at my smallholding i use two small pumps from a fish pond picked them up from a car boot sale to move water from one butt to another and i use a submercable for watering or to empty the carboy  these are powered by a heavy duty 12v battery through a invertor my pump as a low level swith on a flexible small lead which i find a pain in the ????if i get another one it will be without cheers
