Strange food combinations

Glut of strawberries at the moment. So thought home made chocolate cake (vegan) would go nicely with some for breakfast.

Now thinking of other ideas!

Strawberry and rhubarb jam is superb.

If you have loads of them though, make and bottle strawberry syrup. It can be used like ribena, but it's brilliant drizzled through ice cream, over tarts, sponges, meringues and cranachan

Nice in hot water in the middle of Winter when everything's grey and wet and miserable too. A quiet minding of sunshine and Summer to come.

Although it sounds awful, and it took me a long time to try it myself... Balsamic glaze on Strawberries, it just doesn't seem right after only having it on salad but honestly 'tis lovely.
I even remember my first taste of it, on holiday on The Llyn Peninsula up near Aberdarron

My dog, Biscuit, has; but she couldn't eat a whole one all at once.

Weird combinations?
Salt and vinegar crisp and banana butties...
A single hot cross bun filled with a mini mars bar, jam, and cheese will provide you with all the energy you need for a day's walking.

So long as you can get a big enough hot cross bun to hold that lot of course.

Jam and cheese great combo so too is banana and peanut butter

As a kid of the 50s I (& my bros.) used to get a fresh stick of rhubarb from the garden and a small packet of sugar then dip the stick in the bag and eat it slowly.
Apples, pears, black & red currants, gooseberries, strawberries, cherries, loganberries, blackberries, radishes all from our back garden and fresh.
Mum gathered the lettuces, beans, peas, potatoes and anything else she'd planted and we'd have lovely Sunday lunches.
Now I'm married we only have weeds, flowers, shrubs and trees in our garden - oh and the dog, Biscuit.

The dog takes the biscuit then and stops the gardening? What happens if dog planted?
