Starting young!

Kids have gone to my parents for a couple of nights.  They live on the edge of a town but have a chalk stream flowing at the end of their garden, and are always feeding all the wildlife!  Eldest son, aged 9, packed his fishing rod which he has only used once before.  Rang up after being there an hour yesterday evening to tell his dad he had caught a 1 lb brown trout with some bread on his hook.  Bettered it today by catching one twice the size and apparently 17 inches long.  My mother had a phone lesson in gutting fish and they are being kept in the freezer until tea tomorrow! Dad is very proud of his boy!!

Well done that man.
Hope parents have the fishing rights!

A great start in life freckle. That young lad of yours has had an intoduction to a great passtime. Through it, he'll make friends, spend some enjoyable if not frustrating times and most importantly get out and about in our British countryside.
