Smallicombe Farm

Had a lovely few nights away in Devon (via Surrey, Southampton and Dorset) for the lads third birthday.

Spent a lovely day at Monkey World and the Donkey Sanctuary.

Stayed at Smallicombe Farm- can highly recommend it if anyone fancies a few nights away.

They have a lovely flock of Dorset Downs and some lovely pigs http://www.smallicombe.com/
Yorkshire Geordie

Lovely neck of the woods.
You should have let me know you were down this way and you could have called round for coffee, scone, jam and Devon cream.

You will be made most welcome - as would anyone else who cares to visit and help Mrs YG and me soak up all this sunshine.

No wonder you enjoyed your break Stu. Knowing your interests, you must have thought that you'd died and gone to heaven. It looks like a super place and their website looks to be top class too.

Just one thing, did you have any problems getting them to let you out through the gates at Monkey World?

looks like a lovely place - right up my street - if your coming down for a week next year you will have to phone ahead to make sure their is enough clotted cream in the county for your consumption!!

luckily it was monkey world- and not ape world or I would have been in trouble.

Jimbo- my body is temple- only salads or humus for me!!!

Very taken with the middle whites, they reminded me of a friend of mine from the next county down

you were about an hour and half from us...we bought our first sow, kylie from Ian and Maggie years and years ago - although kylie wasn't a sow then just an 8 week old gilt- also bought a couple of their lop x bershire weaners to keep her company..this was back when we first started.

So, best factor in a day up in North Devon when you are down here next year
