Riding Clubs

Have finally taken the plunge and joined a riding club  It isnt the one closest to me but then again they have very little, in fact next to nothing organised for this year so far, but one that is that farther away but have loads lined up.  Am really looking forward to, as my daughters put it, "Pony Club for grown ups"

Its been an awful long time since i did anything remotely riding clubish, i cant wait to get started

Which one are in you in? I've not rejoined this year, too busy, and got fed-up of the politics.....so many members and so few helpers at events which ended up with the same people working them so at least they could run....!

PM me with answer if you prefer!

They ARE great fun though, and I'll still go to their shows, would rather pay the extra 2 per class than be a member and have to work every show again.....!

Hmmm its the politics of our local one that puts me off. Oh and the toadying and bitching....I have joined the local Arab group which seem much more switched on. They do beach rides, mini endurance and stuff which is more up my street. Love Lizzie

Hi CD, am happy to tell you on here without pm'ing you. I have joined the North Lincs RC. The South just didnt have anything organised that appealed. I am used to the politics with my daughters being in the pony club. I keep out of it all and just do my own thing, have learnt over the years to keep my views to myself and not get involved if at all possible with any bitching or back stabbing. As long as it doesnt directly affect me or my daughters i let it all wash over me and just do my own thing. It seems to work for me so thats the way i go

ah, the NL are good, I enjoy their Pillar rides! One in spring and one in autumn.....but away on Trec camp this spring one, so will have to go on the Autumn one instead.

Are you planning on going on those? We could meet up!
ClaireK

Whether we go will depend on what else is going on. We did the autumn one and the girls enjoyed it, even though I did get sick of the sight of trees! Good fun though so no doubt we will be doing one or the other
