Recycling

They have just opened a new recycling centre in Pwllheli and it is going to be a wonderful place to get rid of all the things that have been lying around for years
Tyres, car batteries, flourescent tubes....everything :-)

Now you know what Bodger is going to be doing on his days off while I am working
conundrum

That's it Kaz, keep him hard at work!!

Our tip is one like that, and Dave who is a recycling nut, loves to find something else that he can take off to the tip.

So he's going to be adding tatting to his list of talants then. ::
bodger

Tatting is collecting, this is getting rid

I've done my first of many trips to the recycling centre this morning.  I got rid of an old dishwasher, a wheelbarrow and a few other bits and bobs, this had better put me way up on the browny points

Ah remember the days of the old tip when we used to take things and bring stuff home , now that was recycling
kaz

There's a sign at the new tip that you are NOT allowed to search through the skips :-?
I've got a lovely vase still in constant use at home that Bodger and a character called Ben found at the 'old' tip :-)
Hawkeye

you've just got make sure no one is looking , but i do happen to know the blokes who work there

We can take almost anything off our local tip provided you grease someone's palm with a couple of quid. Got a really smart almost new back door last year for 6 - the kind that B & Q will sell you for around 120. Got an old rocking chair for 2 which I have now completely refurbished - anyone want to buy for 50? Don't all rush HID would leather me if I sold it.
Gareth

I got several brown glass demi-johns for 20p each a the tip last year. Over the years I have a had a few "finds." 20 plus years ago I bought an approx. 2/3rds scale c1950s Webb Minature lawn mower for 50p. I really must get around to refurbishing it.

How did you get that indoors? SWMBO would skin me alive if I brought anything like that into her kitchen.

Ah! The joys of being a live alone widower.

All the mess is mine, and it is me who has to live in it.

Ironically I am reasonably well domesticated. Tending to keep messes small so they are easily cleaned up. Although my dining table is just a bit cluttered with hobby work at the moment.

There are the two pencil cases as almost finished work progress for Bazzer & Lloyd, along with a couple of extra tubes, and a rather scattered about set of essential oils and burners
Bazzer

A pox on you Gareth.
I started counting the matches again :angry4:

Eccles.
Do I detect a liking for "Minder"?

Very astute, how did you come to that conclusion? Actually, I have my own "Minder" and fishing buddy - 6'2"/18 stone/52" Chest and known as Big Sean. A couple of chavs made the serious mistake of  "visiting" his house one night a few months ago and very quickly went home with tails between their legs and a fair few bruises  ::  ::
Bazzer

Just a couple of odd bits in your postings.

HID SWMBO.
Eccles

Ah but SWMBO comes from Rumpole of the Bailey - another wonderful politically incorrect series now sadly gone. I also wish some-one would have a fresh go at Yes Minister - there have been so many faux pas by this government over the last few years, they would have plenty of material.
