rabbits

Seems to be alot of rabbits about this year in my areas. Anyone got the same ?

Called out quite a few times to cull with the air rile and rim fire + NV

Bry we had millions of them until a couple of months ago but Myxi has been about. We've still got quite a few but the fields are stinking with dead and dying rabbits.

Here on the IOW there are loads on National Trust Land - nice to see them- I must be getting soft cos I must have shot and caught with a lurcher hundreds and hundreds years ago.
perlogalism

Not as many as last year but still a few about. They've learned to be wary though

RIP my Brussels. The little buggers stripped the leaves and a couple of days later ate the stalks too. Like nicking my boots & then coming back for the laces!!

Make them pay, I know I would. Have you got any carrots left to go into the pot with them?
sandrar

Over run with them. The back field is literally covered in rabbits. They're in the garden and poultry pens, everywhere. I've given up with the flower garden.

Myxi doesn't appear to have got hold of them this year and despite someone being out most nights shooting, numbers are still increasing.

I tried to capture them on video the other evening but it doesn't really do justice to the sheer number.

I have a lifetime ban from a golf club/course.
On my third ever round of golf someone took exception to my taking an air rifle round in my trolley and shoo ting rabbits between drives...

Last time they netted the field they lost a ferret and it killed a pen of my growers ...I prefer rabbits !

We have had a very dry spring & early summer which they like and now there everywhere, most I've seen in the last 10 years.
Seems the more I shoot the more there is, ha.

Rabbits

In our part of South Wales Carmarthenshire almost no rabbits at all over where I have my van there are a few but not in enough numbers to even take some for the pot, my friends farm is over 300 acres very few rabbits, loads of Magpies and jays also the odd squirrel Im not sure what has happened no dead or rotting corpses and no sign of mixy.

If this virus ain't in your area, then it's only a matter of time. You will notice rabbit populations just dissappear, and failure to recover. Have a read here.
