Pork with milk & spices

Trying this recipe tonight which was in a newspaper magazine recently so will let you know how it goes.

Basically it's shoulder of pork cooked in milk with nutmeg, cinnamon, bay and thyme.  Sounds delicious!

Let us know how you get on - it sounds a bit wierd cooking pork with milk

It's on a low heat now for the next 3.5 hours - will turn it after one hour and check the milk level.  Think it's one for the slow cooker next time.  The kitchen smells glorious from this mixture phuttering away.

I have seen recipes for sausages made with milk but have never been brave enough to try making them...looking forward to hearing how this one turns out x

We made this sausage years ago and it tasted much better than it looked

so your pork dish should be well worth tasting MrsWW

Taste - fantastic - well worth a try.

Sauce (ie, curdled milk) although had a nice taste, didn't look the best - will do it again but will blitz the sauce through the food processor.
