Pigs & roots

For something to do I've been digging what will be our new veg garden this morning & I'm getting up a considerable amount of root (from the hedgerow I think) some as thick as my thumb.

Do you piggy people think it's worth throwing in for new pigs in a month or so or better on the bonfire?

They might have a bit of a chew at it but you'll end up burning it probably.

Yeah mine'll eat bramble roots but only when they've destroyed everything else, and it turns their poo purplish

Bonfire it is then, - to be fair last years pigs didn't root it up so I'd probably be expecting too much of weaners even though I've done the digging myself

Mine look to be doing a bit of a job on the bracken roots, which can't be bad.
At a slightly lower level, Karen and I have just spent an hour clearing out the polytunnel and I've left the doors open so that the chickens can get in there.
