Petrol TVO?

Can anyone remind me as to what the formula is for making petrol TVO to go into my Grey Fergi is?

When I had my wee grey fergie I used the following

2 parts petrol

1 part parrifin

After the tables on the fergie site this mixture will give you aapprox  72 Octane

Have a gander here mate.

Paul, we have oil fired central heating and I think that the locals used to incorporate that into the mix. I'm off to have a look at that link

Cheers mate, it looks as though two parts petrol to one part central heating oil will do the job. The link says that will come out at 72, so if I want it a bit lower, do I lower the petrol content of the mix slightly?

Heating oil  will do fine, mate.

1 : 1 will give you about 59 octane.

Why do you need to do this and what is "TVO" here we just use petrol in them

When it comes to fuel, Grey Fergis come in three types. Diesel, petrol and TVO. TVO used ti be available but these days it isn't available at the pump, so now you have to make your own.
