Peculiar sausage rolls

I sometimes does this when making bread, allowing for some extra dough. Cook sausages, 1 each is enough for us, fry some onions. Roll out spare dough into thin rectangles. In the middle spread with Dijon mustard, then onion, then the cooked sausage. Fold the dough over to make a (hopefully) neat rectangle, leave to rise and bake until done. In my oven it's at 200C for about 25 minutes. Can add any extras individuals fancy.

That sounds so much nicer than the greasy tasteless things you buy - must try that.

What a great idea!  Definitely going to try that.

Thanks, hope you and Milton enjoy it. We make our own sausages - and bacon - so know what we're eating.

My oh makes inside out pizzas using up the left over bread dough. Make a flat round ish shape put filling in the centre. Fold edges over to create a round bap like shape turn over & bake.

Similar to calzone.

I do that but I often knead some herbs and garlic into the bit of bread dough

They're in one of Elizabeth's David's books, can't recall what she called them.
