Paddy

Lost my old Lurcher Paddy today.

He has gone right down hill over the last 3 weeks and tests last week proved he had a tumour in his lung.

He was still catching rabbits in September and at 12 years old he has had a hell of a working carrier.

Sleep well big lad.

Thanks everyone.

John, I have 6000 acres up the shoot to run one on but it's all Gundogs for me really, I've even been training a couple for other people.

My lads been hounding me for a Lurcher for a while so I wouldn't be surprised if a puppy appears in the next few weeks.

We can't quite decide what to have next. I've always had running dogs but this Lab of my daughters that we've been looking after for her for the last eight years, has been something else.
sod

Well it does belog to your Daughter

Sorry Dave, I know exactly how you feel.
Seabird

So sorry to hear that.  He's up there chasing celestial rabbits, but I know you'll miss him.

I know you do pal.
I had a tear in my eye when I read your news, knowing a few days later I would be in the same boat

I love my Labs & Spaniels and as long as I'm shooting and doing some game keeping I will have them.

Although, I could see myself retiring with a whippet type Lurcher.
Nice size to sit by the fire with.

Maybe a nice Beddy whippet.
