Ospreys

First egg seen on the nest at Glaslyn (near Porthmadog) 2 hours ago

The site is no longer run by RSPB, but you can follow the ospreys' fortunes on Bywyd Gwyllt Wildlife - Glaslyn Ospreys on facebook.

I must take the grandkids down at Easter to support this new group.

By the way - the Lady of the Loch, the elderly female at Loch of the Lowes, who gave us all a scare some years ago, is back and still going at 28 YEARS OLD!!!

I think that's the Coed Brenin site HonkHonk - ANOTHER family of ospreys.. Yay!    I've passed that one regularly on the way to Aberystwyth and never got the chance to look. There's an amazing sculpture of an osprey near the entrance if I've got the right place. I just think we should be thrilled that this bird has clawed its way back from the verge of extinction in Britain

I reckon you're right there, I think I remember a sculpture, but I was driving so didn't look for too long, and of course the small point that you actually live there hahahaha
