My local brewery was set up by a chap who started off as a home brewer, then went part time at work so he could set up his own brewery. It's bdooly hard work though!! I shall stick to homebrewing

I must admit though - I'd love to see a beer of mine behind the bar in a pub. I don't think I'd want to go into it for a living but to me,  it would be worth registering with HMRC etc just to get a cask on tap in my local.

The fellow in the article looks only to be doing 70-100 litres a go by the looks of the vessels behind him - that's easily achievable in anyone's garage for a set up cost of less than 400
