Old Brands that you were brought up with?

We had to travel to Stoke and back today. At one stage, I was travelling behind a Roberts's bread van and having nothing better to do do to keep myself occupied, I started to think about some of the old brands of bread that used to be around when I was growing up. I came up with 'Wonder Loaf and 'Champion' to name just two. ooh yes and there was Sunblest too.
Taking it one step further, I gave some thought to once well known brands of other commodities that have now disappeared. For instance, can you still buy Daz and OMO ?
What favourites can you come up with?

I think you mean
Cod Liver Oil & Malt
bodger

We were sent off to school having been slipped a couple of cod liver oil capsules. If you were stupid enough to chew instead of swallow ( and I was ) then your mouth tasted as though you'd sucked a raw cods head for the rest of the day.

Now Delrosa rose hip syrup, that was a different matter altogether. I couldn't get enough of that, it was lurvveley!
avvy

I liked everything about rose hip syrup We used to get paid for picking rose hips and takeing them to school. I also liked Virol

Mum went through a peroid of buying that "Nimble" Bread.
It tasted horrible.
I remember also that she had one of those "Flit" guns. I wonder now if the two weren't related......

Nimble? I remember that  If I remember correctly, then only fat people ate it. I always knew it would never catch on.
Mo

Milk of Magnesia has mysteriously disappeared from the shelves. I confused quite a few chemists when I was looking for it last year, they thought they stocked it but no, it had been withdrawn.
Christine

The ones I can think of are garden chemicals:
Touchweed for dealing with dandelions in lawns - greatly missed
Armillatox (the smell killed and was good on ground elder)
Sodium Chlorate (have a fire on a sunny day by dropping a fag end, ground useless after used)
horace

Dolly blue for washing clothes
Seabird

Bournvita

Apparently it was discontinued here in 2008 but still going strong in India!!
Baldybloke

Miss Muffet junket essence.
Eiffel Tower lemonade crystals.
Spangles sweets.
Old Jamaica chocolate.

To name but a couple.

Again I am afraid Trebor mints are also alive and well in North devon as are Cola cubes, pear drops and pineapple cubes

I have always thought I live in a place caught up in a time walk and it seems its true because you can still get the hard green fairy soap cakes here amoung countless other things that have been mentioned above including flying saucers (have some in the cupboard as we speak as they happen to be my favourite,) love hearts, tunes and sherbert dips. Oh and don't forget black Jacks andfruit salads.

I used to love Jamboree bags - not seen those even down here in years and years.,
