Oi!!! Someone turn that flipp'in light off!!!

Woodsmoke

Heh heh heh...................

One of my lot (a hoblet named 'Pounce') loves his sleep, too.

In fact, I've sometimes actually had to open the court & give him a poke to wake him up!

It's funny as hell watching him blink the sleep put of his eyes & yawn before doing a 'mini-wardance' to wake himself up

I have got a gill like that woodsmoke....i thought she was dead the first time!!

You breeding this year mate???????????
Woodsmoke

Not this year mate. I just had my hob vasectomised a few weeks ago, so he's a happy wee boy at the moment! The jills are all coming into season, & he's turned into a wee furry shag-monster

The vas' cost was under 50, & last year it cost me almost 70 to have the jills injected so it was really a no-brainer.

The last time I took kits from them I advertised them at 15each (wanted to make sure they went to good homes!) A couple went as gifts to a mate, but the rest ended up in pet homes. I still get emails now & again from a young couple in Edinburgh who wanted a jill as a companion for their hob. Apparently they named her 'Princess'

I've come across the 'dead ferret' syndrome a couple of times..............apparently, they get into such a deep sleep that they're really hard to rouse. Can give you a bit of a start if you've never seen it before. I've had Pounce upside down in my hand before now, completely oblivious to the world. It's funny as hell when he wakes up & you see the confusion on his mush

You bringing on any this year?
kaz

Nice picture - our dogs have similar expressions on their faces when we wake them up

It's also the look I have on my face when my Beagle wakes me up - by standing on my chest and licking my nose!

I am crossing my fingers woodsmoke as i am breeding again this year, the last 2 years aint been good...we have this lovely little polecat which isnt quite your typical polecat(if you see what i mean)she was a sort of runt of the litter and is smaller than a normal gill but she's ideal working as like the lager she reaches parts other ferrets cant reach!! we have tried breeding with her for the last two years but on both occasions she had the litter she killed and ate them but i'm going with a new gill typical polecat this year and cant wait to see the results as the hob was my albino ferret, took her out yesterday as she has come out of season and she should be due around mid/late may, fingers crossed.
